Some Beach Christmas Decor & Gingerbread Soiree

Sister had us down to Some Beach at Tybee for our annual gingerbread party! I took the opportunity to take a few pics of her Christmas decor. It was a festive little even with Christmas carols, a roaring fire :-), and great eats.

She ordered a variety of gourmet sandwiches from Drift on Tybee for our lunch. The weather was nice enough to sit outside on the porch, and the sun was shining for the FIRST time this trip!

As usual, she used pre-assembled houses and added a variety of candy. The kids were more into it this year than any year prior!

And look just how cute all of their creations are… from left to right is CeeCee, Whit, John and Jay. They also decorated the gingerbread men. CeeCee and I did the three girls, Whit did the “old man who had his foot bitten off” and Jay did Kylo Ren.

As always, thanks to Sister for a fun and memorable afternoon and for continuing this Christmas tradition!

  1. I love seeing glimpses of Mel’s “minimal” decor. Who knew she was such a “minimalist’!!!!

And Amanda, the gold palm frond is from Hazelnut, not Target!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to the Ws, Ss, Os!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I loved the advent calendar your sister had in her kitchen window! I would love to know where she got it, if possible? So different and I love changing the numbers as you count down!
Love your shares and I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas and hope you have a very happy and blessed New Year!

  3. This is always a fun post! I love how Sister replaced her fourth wall plates with gingerbread men! Very clever. ☺ Thank you for sharing this! 🍭🍭🍭

    1. Well, Whit came inside last summer and swung his beach towel and the casualty was two plates. Sooooo…. this filled a void.

  4. We have the same fireplace as your sister. Ours is larger only because my husband asked Santa for a ridiculously large one this year. They’re so easy to clean!
