Windsor Court Hotel

I chose Windsor Court because it is one of my Virtuoso hotels, and also a place I’d come with Ron and Jeff previously for drinks and dinner. I remembered it being elegant and a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city, and that was exactly how it stands today! Every time we walked into this entry courtyard, I got excited. It’s just lovely!

Windsor Court is located in the heart of New Orleans, just two blocks from the French Quarter, River and Warehouse/Arts District. We walked to many of the places we visited on the trip, and found Ubers to be plentiful when we wanted to ride. We did have a car, but parking was difficult so we never once moved it.

The lobby area is spacious and stunning, set up like an elegant living room with conversation areas and a roaring fire. The service every single time we walked through these doors was impeccable. I really cannot say one negative thing about our five day stay!

A haven for the discriminating traveler, Windsor Court offers a touch of England in the heart of New Orleans. Conveniently located just two blocks from the historic French Quarter, Mississippi River, and Warehouse/Arts District, our central locale allows visitors to enjoy the food, jazz, history, architecture, and the sultry sensuality of New Orleans, while experiencing the luxury, superior service and privacy Windsor Court is so known for. This award-winning hotel boasts 43 expansive guestrooms and 213 one-bedroom suites.  The longest-running Forbes Four Star/AAA Four Diamond hotel in Louisiana.

Most of the rooms at Windsor Court are suite style. Ours was huge, luxurious and beautifully decorated with a sweeping view of the river.

As Virtuoso guests, Windsor Court went out of their way to spoil us! Look at this lovely treat they sent after a long day in the city!

As far as dining, we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in The Grill Room. This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was great. We had a quiet table overlooking the courtyard and it was a memorable evening. Like for the hotel, the service in the restaurant was outstanding.

We dined in the restaurant one morning, but ordered room service the others. Guests that book Windsor Court with me receive a $60 per day credit to go towards breakfast in The Grill Room or in room dining!

We did not have a chance to visit the Polo Club Lounge on this trip, but it is a favorite of Ron and Jeff. When they took Sister and I years ago we had a great time!

There is a rooftop pool, spa and so much more at Windsor Court. We had a memorable stay and I’d choose the exact same place next time! This concludes our Alabama to Louisiana road trip. Thanks for following along!

  1. We were at Mardi Gras from Thursday to Sunday and I swear I was on the lookout for you the whole time! HaHa! My husband was like why are you looking around so much? I said I want to bump into Amanda! He said WHO?? We’ve been going to Mardi Gras for 5 years and we have a pretty set routine. We always go to Windsor Court and have a drink at the Polo Club on Thursday night after dinner at the Palace Cafe. Windsor Court is beautiful and I actually took a picture of that gorgeous arrangement of pink roses too! It smelled divine! We love Windsor Court but have never stayed there. We always stay at The Lowes but stayed at The Mercantile this year. Blah. Not my favorite (The Monteleone is my FAVE). Seeing what the rooms look like at Windsor Court I think we need to stay there next trip. I’m sad I didn’t bump into you but I’m glad you and the family were able to go to Mardi Gras this year. Such a fun and unique experience. I’m excited to take my littles in a few years.

    1. That would have been fantastic to meet you!! I loved reading about your routine. Honestly, we had no idea we’d be in the middle of the Thursday night parades. It was a great location! xo
