Happiest Halloween

We really had the most happiest Halloween! It was a gorgeous day and I wouldn’t have changed a thing about it.

We live in a huge neighborhood of 1,400 homes and no home owners association. There was no plan of attack around Halloween, other than if your lights are on you are participating. We set up a table at the end of our driveway to ensure everyone would feel welcome and safe. Honey and I sat in chairs about 10 feet back and allowed our little trick or treaters to pick whatever they liked from our table. Whit helped me shop for the treats and was diligent about reading labels to ensure we had a variety of options for candy, allergies and even vampire teeth and mini packs of dog treats!

Honey dressed up as Macgruber, Whit as Bendy and I wore my chipmunk / gopher costume since it was comfy and warm. We didn’t go out for a costume for Whit until at 1PM, so this was his 3rd choice from the wall at Party City.

Whit and a few friends met up at our house, shot some hoops and then went out trick or treating. They all had a great night!

I loved the creativity and community I saw up and down the streets of our neighborhood. From treat tables to candy chutes to bonfires and football games, from incredible decorations to the full moon and clear sky to snack bags hanging in trees, I couldn’t wipe the grin off of my face. Halloween was not cancelled at all. In fact, it was the most memorable Halloween we’ve ever had.

I hope that you and yours had a fantastic night! Halloween night made me more excited than ever to continue with the holidays!

Happy Halloween!
