Breckenridge {Historic District Lodging}

We spent a week skiing in Breckenridge with friends earlier this month! We had tons of snow, the town was absolutely charming and we loved our rental home! I managed to grab a few photos before everyone unpacked and the place became lived in.

The house was at the corner of French and Washington in the Historic District. A lift shuttle picked up right outside the front door, which was extremely convenient, although we walked the short distance a number of times as well. Main Street was just 2 blocks away!

Just inside the front door is an open, bright and sunny living room and kitchen area. I loved the colors, art and basically every single well planned detail! The kitchen was stocked better than any rental we’ve ever had, which made staying here feel much like home. I should note – the two dad’s picked the house and planned this trip. They did a great job! :-)

Just off the kitchen is a coffee bar and pantry with a sliding barn door.

And, continuing through the house, there was a wonderful mudroom with laundry and space for all of our gear! I should also mention – the floors were heated which was a true luxury!

Back in the main part of the house is the living room. We loved this set up of individual swivel chairs. At the end of our trip, we noted that we didn’t turn on a tv the entire time! The teen boys did watch Titanic one night, we we were all amused by. :-) I loved all of the bowls of games out around the living spaces – dominos, lego type pieces – and the entire cabinet of board games here in the den.

Honey and I stayed in the main level bedroom. Like the living spaces, it was darling!

Heading upstairs, our friends stayed in a bedroom similar to ours. Both had queens and an ensuite bathroom.

The two 6th graders had this cute room.

We all loved the rooftop hot tub with incredible views after a long day on the slopes!

The high schoolers slept in the basement area. It had an awesome kid hang-out with tv, games and a kitchen!

The house address is 200 South French and you can check into renting it here. We loved calling it our home away from home!

  1. Looks like a great place and how nice that you were able to get away. We’ve been up to Vermont several times this winter…lots of snow this year! Thanks for sharing!
