We chartered the boat direct through Sunset Sail Key West. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her online! A Key West original, High Tide was built locally by the legendary Admiral Finbar for day sailing and snorkeling trips. In 1980, this 33-foot Glander– the first charter sailboat in Key West– lifted anchor for the first time. Forty-one years later and we had a magical afternoon and evening on board!

We left the dock just before four thirty in the afternoon and soaked up the sun, warm breeze and turquoise waters as far as the eye could see.

Our crew, Nate and Harley, geared us up for snorkeling. Most of the fish and lobster were tiny, but we did marvel over one beast parked right under the boat and a MASSIVE loggerhead turtle.

The boys took their antics to the lilly pad, after snorkeling for a while.

The boat was stocked with water, soft drinks, fruit, hummus and chips. We also ordered a divine cheese and charcuterie from VIV Wine Bistro and picked it up on our way to the dock.

The sky put on a spectacular show as we made the slow hour long drive back to Key West.

Watching the sun melt into the sea from this vantage point was nothing short of spectacular.

We pulled back in around eight thirty, with this incredible view of boats anchored all over the harbor!

Key West, you are pretty amazing!
