Happy Friday, friends! I’m not imbibing in cocktails these days but this was a fun one that we enjoyed last month with my family in town. I mentioned, almost as an afterthought, that friends brought Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey to a party and left it with us. Well, I got the most FUN suggestions on how to enjoy it and we set straight to work.
Peanut Butter Cup Cocktail
Shown on left below. Pour over ice and stir. I had this version and liked it!
- 3 oz Skrewball
- 1 oz Godiva liquor
- 1-2 oz milk
- Pinch of salt
Salted Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel
Shown on right below. Dip coupe into caramel sauce and then salt. Combine liquors and shake. Strain into cup. Honey went for this one and also enjoyed.
- 1.5 oz Skrewball
- 3/4 oz Godiva
This suggestion came directly from a reader and WOWZA – it was delicious!!! Daddy-O drove us through not one, but two Wendy’s to secure five junior Frosty’s. We dumped each one into a cup and stirred in Skrewball to taste. Enjoyed poolside they were a decadent dessert! I highly recommend trying!
Before I go for the day, I want to thank all of you for your comments, messages and emails. I debated whether or not to share the spider saga at this time. I’m living in the throes of it and you might have noticed I don’t blog a lot in real time. For me, the hard things are often just too hard to talk about until I’ve sorted through them. But now, I am relieved I shared when I did. I have never felt so loved or prayed for, and it feels incredible to have so many people rooting for a speedy recovery. I am specifically praying that I will see my own doctor next week (who I adore) and that she will be able to confirm that no new infection has formed and that the meds I’m on are working. I pray that we are on the right course and that we just need to stay the course.
