On My Bedside {Invisible}

When Honey left me in the ER, he handed me a paperback that had been left in our car at some unknown time – Invisible by James Patterson. My phone was not completely charged and he surmised I could use something to keep my mind busy. Wow! This one did the trick. It is a classic James Patterson book – disturbing yet engaging. I probably would have picked a sweet read by Mary Kay Andrews or Kristy Woodson Harvey if I’d had my druthers, but beggars can’t be choosers. (I have said this, a favorite of my mom’s, countless times the last couple of weeks.)

Everyone thinks Emmy Dockery is crazy. Obsessed with finding the link between hundreds of unsolved cases, Emmy has taken leave from her job as an FBI researcher. Now all she has are the newspaper clippings that wallpaper her bedroom, and her recurring nightmares of an all-consuming fire.

Not even Emmy’s ex-boyfriend, field agent Harrison “Books” Bookman, will believe her that hundreds of kidnappings, rapes, and murders are all connected. That is, until Emmy finds a piece of evidence he can’t afford to ignore. More murders are reported by the day – and they’re all inexplicable. No motives, no murder weapons, no suspects. Could one person really be responsible for these unthinkable crimes?

Invisible is James Patterson’s scariest, most chilling stand-alone thriller yet.

I tore through this over the course of just a couple of days. I’ve got quite a few others to share since then!! What’s on your summer reading list?

  1. I just read Bringing Down The Duke, and it was really good! Also, working my way through the Bridgerton Series.

  2. Just finished reading the “Venice Sketchbook” which was amazing! And, now it is my book club read for month of July, thanks to my suggestion. Love anything James Patterson, John Grisham, Michael Connelly, and David Balducci for suspense novels. Anxiously awaiting Mary Kay Andrews novel to be delivered which will be my little mini getaway/treat….LOL! (sitting out on our dock with a frozen concoction and MKA!)

    Hope you are feeling better and on the mend!
    Carol
