Adventures by Disney {Montana Day 5: Big Sky High}

After so many days on the move, it was lovely to explore and enjoy the Big Sky Resort!

Breakfast at Huntley Lodge

We’re getting used to this – starting our day with a cowboy breakfast before heading out on adventure!

Hike at Nearby Ousel Falls

Our hike along the picturesque Ousel Falls Park Trail was something we didn’t expect to enjoy so much. The morning air was cool and the trail was resplendent with dramatic views. Our adventure guides took time to have us try juniper berries, sniff trees and learn about our surroundings along the way. Reaching the bottom left us in awe of the roaring power of the breathtaking Ousel Falls. Our boys were out cold, sleeping straight through breakfast, so Honey and I enjoyed the morning with the group.

Lunch at Big Sky Resort

Our guides provided a lunch voucher to enjoy at our leisure today. We loved our al fresco lunch at Westward Social, with gorgeous views of Lone Peak.

Choose Your Own Adventure

We got to choose our own adventure from three choices this afternoon. Our family unanimously chose the Adventure Zip Line! This was the most daring activity, with three extremely high segments of zip lines. The views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks of the Madison Range were expansive. It was an exhilarating afternoon!

Alternate activities included a less adventurous zip line and the Lone Peak Expedition (chair lift ride).

Private Roast-And-Toast Dinner

We joined up with the rest of the group for another private dinner. Afterwards, we adjourned to the pool and the adults hung out while the kids swam.
