Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day {A Few Decorative Touches}

I shared our front porch earlier this week and am back today with a little St. Patrick’s Day inside.

The foyer got a tiny arrangement for a festive welcome. I spied “shamrock hydrangeas” again this year at Trader Joe’s and was excite to scoop up the last two bunches! I usually purchase potted shamrocks but haven’t seen any this year. Given this, I went with arrangements in the colors of the Irish flag.

I have a larger arrangement in the den, and also put out a couple of our favorite story books from when the boys were little.

Y’all know I love a kitchen table centerpiece that is practical and easy to move since we dine here daily. The napkins are darling bandanas I found in the dollar spot at Target. The chocolate coins were also in the dollar spot and will be most enjoyed by my boys. I have moved them off the table to the far reaches of the kitchen counter because Elsa knows no boundaries and her sister would be right on her heels.

The coffee and cocoa bar is so cute and festive – it’s my favorite part of the whole lot! General Mills sent us a bag of just the Lucky Charm marshmallows, which we’ve loved using to top our hot beverages. The leprechaun is a new topper for my Happy Everything collection.

And, finally, my corner frame got a shamrock topper (also Happy Everything) and an old picture of the boys on St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah. A pot of gold is the finishing touch.

I have a few fun meals planned for the boys this week. I wish we could get to Savannah but, alas, too many commitments in Atlanta. I am so glad we took the boys for all those years while they were little!

  1. I always love seeing your special holiday nooks around your house. I may have missed it. Could you please source the square white tray in your kitchen in your coffee bar? Thank you

    1. Sure! I found it at the Ballard Outlet. However, it is by beatriz ball in her melamine line, according to the tag.
