Y’all, I have truly upped my summer game with the teen set and it’s shaved ice for the win! Ah, who am I kidding? It’s not just the teens that are raving about it. I’ve been churning out shaved ice every day for the past nine days for anyone and everyone that comes over.
I have researched and considered all sorts of apparatus to make and serve icy cold treats, but never could pull the trigger. I read about the Kitchenaid Mixer Shave Ice attachment a few months ago and, since then, it popped up on any and every internet platform I use. I clicked through again a few weeks ago and this time read five star after five star review. I was sold!
It takes up virtually no storage space and works like a charm. It comes with four molds in which you need to freeze ice pucks. I keep a gallon zip top full of the blocks in the freezer ready to go!
I started with my own homemade syrups and a raspberry syrup we can’t ever seem to reach the bottom of. Mint + Raspberry are my absolutely favorite. Lavender + Mint is also amazing.

Nerds are my favorite candy and on a whim I put out a little bowl for topping our creations. Well, that was just another slam dunk. The Nerds are SO good in the shaved ice.
