Musings

CeeCee and Bird gave me the Kiel James Patrick Vickers Bow Bracelet that I’ve been lusting over for eons on Christmas.  Those littles have some good taste!  It’s silk and it’s gorgey and I now want one in every color of the rainbow.

This Minnie bow wristlet is absolutely darling.  Of course, we are still in the phase of carrying a full on backpack into the park.  Maybe one day.  Like when we retire to Celebration, Florida.  (Honey, are you reading this?  I’m not giving up on that.)

Speaking of Disney, I could hardly believe my eyes when this popped up on my Pinterest feed.  Holy moly, Walt Disney World pinned my stuff!!!

How adorable is CeeCee all dolled up on her FIRST BIRTHDAY?????!!!!!!  I could eat.her.up.

Mother sent me this picture of the tutu and onesie she made for the little doll.  Oh my stars, that thing is beyond precious.  I’m seriously hoping she wears it to her soiree next weekend.

John has started studying for his First Communion, and the baby is learning all about baptisms in Sunday school.  They literally squealed when we came out of mass to find these last week, and my heart could have jumped out of my chest when both boys donated from their allowances for the donuts.  We do love our Krispy Kremes around here.

I enjoyed a fabulous girls night out with besties E, N and C last weekend.  I told y’all I was going to see my oldest friends more in 2014.  So far so good!!  We even have two more dates on the calendar.

Y’all, I am running jogging wogging (I’ve been told this is a cross between a jog and a walk) a 5k next month.  Me.  It’s part of a 20 year reunion celebration with a few of my oldest and dearest friends.  Let’s just say that if I were a bumper sticker person I would totally have this plastered on the back of my Jeep.  I’m hoping that whole couch to 5k thing is truly get-off-my-couch-run-5-k.  Y’all be praying for me.

My last little nugget is a long story that I will try to make short.  (If you ever talk to me in real life, you’ll recognize what a real challenge this is for me.)  I was driving down I-75 last week when I kept noticing this little white car repeatedly pulling up next to me.  I finally looked over when I saw the man was frantically waving at me.  And other than his white shoulder length hair, he was naked as a jay bird.  As in no clothes.  Zero. Zip. Zilch.  My car sits up pretty high and his was pretty low and I just had a prime viewing spot for an image that is probably forever and regretfully seared on my brain.  I immediately called Honey, who asked 1) if I got a picture (ewwww…what is wrong with him?), 2) if I got his tag (um, no. my good sense went right out the window.  literally.), and 3)  if I called 911 first (again, no.  I wasn’t sure if it was a real emergency, other than my eyeballs being singed by the sight.).  I’m going to go back to my old ways of avoiding the highway STAT.

Have a great long weekend, y’all!
xoxo

  1. I seriously hope someone takes a jogging stroller to put you in after the first mile. Hahahahahahahaha!!! I don't think I've ever seen you run!

    xoxo

  2. Oh my word – the naked man – my hubby probably would've asked if I'd taken a picture, too. Eww! CeeCee is a DOLL, & I know she'll be just adorable in her tutu!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Yea for running! It sucks training but then you'll feel awesome afterwards and start to crave running (sounds impossible I know). I started the couch to 5k in the early summer and was up to running 6 miles by fall and I've always said I hate running. Keep us updated on how it goes!

  4. How amazing is it that WDW pinned your pin??? I also love the wristlet! Too cute! (I am a Disney Travel Agent by night, so I LOVE all things Disney!) We are going on our first DCL Cruise on the Dream over Spring Break so I actually went back and reread your posts on it. As far as running goes, I tried the Couch to 5k App for one day. Thought. I. Would. Die. I had rather just starve, but good luck with yours! I wish I had it in me. CeeCee's clothes are precious! I would love to be able to stuff my 10 year old into cutsie clothes again. I could have cried when she started forming her own opinions on what looks good!!!
Naked man – OMG. That is all I know to say!!!

  5. Well all I can say about the I 75 incident is EWWW! Glad you did not veer out of your lane. And I need one of those stickers for my car as well…I do walk not even a wog.

  6. I like the term wogging. From now on that's what I do! Love the tutu, your mom is pretty talented in the sewing department. And the naked man, my stars, that's all I can say.

  7. Adore the bracelet! On my wish list. CeeCee is precious, and I so hope she wears that adorable outfit your mother made. Giving up allowance for doughnuts, sounds like a boy thing to do. LOL
And lastly, ewwwww! I would have probably run off the road!

  8. Thanks for the laugh Amanda that made my day. I'm guessing you follow classy girls wear pearls then. Love the bracelet. How can I order one of the monogramed note books, I would love to win but I would buy one if not thanks let me know. Oh I live in Canada but I can get an u s mailing address thanks frances

  9. Ewwwwww…that guy is definitely a pervert! Hope you never encounter a sight like this again but if so, call 911. These idiots need to be stopped!

I need one of those stickers! :) CeeCee is absolutely adorable. Your mom is an absolute wonder as a seamstress. I see many adorable outfits in the future.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. My niece has the 0.0 sticker. I think it is hilarious!

Thank you for introducing me to the Kiel James Patrick bracelets. They are adorable – I can't seem to choose just one.

Also, I was scrolling through your older posts recently and I realized you are a ZTA. I was a Zeta at Ole Miss many years ago. :-). It is so fun to meet new friends (and sorority sisters) through blogging!

  11. Can't believe someone flashed you on a highway but one day (if not already) you'll get a hearty laugh out of it, just as I did!
I love the vest in the top photo featuring the KJP bracelet (which is gorg) and wanted to know where you got it- I've been needing a great navy vest for a while now!

  12. Congrats on the Disney pins! They are definitely following the right person – you could be the ambassador for that place! Cee Cee is just as adorable as ever. I love seeing how your sister dresses her up – such fun! I would have freaked out if I saw a naked guy driving next to me – yuck! Good luck with the wogging plan. You reminded me that I vowed to start exercising this year…um thanks.
