The Summer Style Soiree is back – this month celebrating all things Jacqueline Kennedy!! Jackie is revered for her legacy of fashion, lifestyle, poise, grace and manners. Join me for an inspired “Moment with Jackie…”
As First Lady, Jackie introduced the White House to cocktail hour, with her libation of choice being the lime daquiri. The lime daquiri of Jackie’s generation was not the frozen drink machine concoction we know today. Rather, a sophisticated and tasty libation that is worth bringing back! While in Savannah, Mother and I set out to perfect a recipe worthy of Jackie herself.
Jackie’s Lime Daquiri Cocktail
Shake with ice and strain into glass. Serves 1…
3 oz light rum
2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
Atop a sterling golf club tray, we perched a photo of Jackie and Mother’s replica of Jackie’s legendary triple strand pearl necklace. And that is how we interpreted a moment with Jackie.
Now, the really fun part is that, starting tomorrow morning, YOU are invited to link up your creations as well!! This inspiration can be applied to anything as long as it ties back to the style icon- think fashion, table settings, home interiors, DIY, crafts, entertaining, recipes- the possibilities are endless!
Your hosts will be sharing their Jackie inspired posts over the next two days as well…
Cheers!

YUM! In one week I will be able to enjoy cocktail hour again and this is going at the top of the list! :)
Love yours and mother's interpretation. All for the cocktails and pearls!!
Fabulous! And my sincere thanks to you and your mother for the grueling task of perfecting the recipe for all of us! I hope it took a lot of trial and error! Wink-Wink! I simply just love you! Welcome summer and cheers to JBK…an inspiring and great American icon.
