Dad’s Day

Today and every day I am so very thankful for the dad’s in my life.

For my own father, who has been a fixture in my life for my entire life.  He’s just always been there…. through childhood, and college, and marriage and babies… at the crack of dawn and in the middle of the night.  He’s always dropped everything for us, joyfully and with no questions asked.  With each passing year, I can’t help but be saddened by scrolling through facebook on these types of days and reading about all of my friends that are remembering their dad’s in Heaven.  I am fall-to-my-knees grateful to have him here.  I love you, Daddy-O.  It doesn’t get said enough.

Being so very thankful to the father that raised me makes me appreciate that much more the man that is raising my children.  The two share many of the same attributes in that they want more than anything to be a part of their kids lives.  Honey is the kindest, most patient man in the world.  He’s raising our boys with a strong sense of integrity and a heart full of love.  He’s truly amazing.
Honey was up at the crack of dawn to play golf and be home by lunch to spend the rest of the day with us.  With the “newborn”, we spent it playing and pottying on constant repeat.  I cooked dinner at home tonight and Honey’s mama was very sweet to join us.  I’m back on my Ina kick and the meal was amazing.  I’ll share it as soon as I have a spare puppy free moment :-)
Happy Father’s Day!
xoxo

  1. I'm kicking myself for not getting a customized Dad coke bottle from the Share A Coke website for Father's Day! I'm going to have to do this for my Dad's birthday in September instead. I might customize a "Georgia Tech" one instead for the occasion.

I ended up ordering two bottles after your post, one for me and one for my boyfriend, and I am just so thrilled with them!
