Magical Monday {Minnie Style}

We are getting so incredibly excited about our big trip in a few weeks!!  For the Disneyland leg of our trip, we’ve got a super special once-in-a-lifetime kind of milestone (10 and 40) birthday meal planned for one of our days and I will be in full on Minnie style!  Eeeekkkkk…. pinch me!!!

Clutch: As luck would have it, Kate Spade launched a Minnie Mouse line just in time for you-know-who to celebrate a big old birthday.  I literally squealed when I saw the first sneak peeks – so much so that it caught Honey’s attention.  Well, guess what he surprised me with on my birthday?!?!!  Yes, the most fantastic Minnie inspired bag ever.

Fascinator: I’ll be honest, I really couldn’t decide if it would be silly or not.  After a lengthy exchange with Sister, I went for it.  And Oh.My.Goodness I am SO glad that I did.  It’s absolutely darling!!!!!!!!  It’s pretty small and attaches with two alligator clips.  See ya never, headband headache.  I cannot wait to take some pics wearing it because it is seriously the cutest thing.  Hat and Mouse makes loads of character hats and I fear this may be my next addiction.

Bracelet: I ordered another custom and super fun piece from our trip from Kaitlin Kendall as well (more to come on that), and she was a complete doll to throw in her Minnie inspired bow bracelet!!  I have been a long time follower of her shop and adore the katiebowhead bracelets that I already own.

I was just taking my pic for the post when the door bell rang with our travel packet!!!!  Wahooo!!!!  We used Costco Travel to book the package, including room and tickets.  The price was the same as on the Disneyland website directly, but included a Disney gift card, vouchers for a free character meal and a book of other perks and discounts.  Oh, and the bag tags.  *squeal*

Now, where DID the day go?!  The littles have entirely too much homework for a mom who just wants to day dream all things Disney while wearing a fascinator and downing a bag of Fritos.  (When I only buy healthy snacks I am forced to the bowels of the pantry to scare up anything bad…)  Alas, math, social studies, a stem bag, a book report quilt and who knows what else is calling my name.

xoxo

  1. I am feeling your excitement as well! I hope Disneyland does not disappoint you – I am a California girl and have never been to the Florida parks – they seem magnificent – It will be fun to see your point of view of Disneyland! :-)
