Magical Monday {Disney Accessories} with Dressing for Disney

Hello there! I’m so honored to be a guest here on Amanda’s lovely little blog space. My name is Ashley from DressingForDisney. I live in Orlando, Florida– literally five minutes from the gates of Magic Kingdom. Yes, I’m a Disney fanatic. Yes, I work for the Mouse. And yes, I go to Disney all the time. I appreciate theme park design and history, and admire Walt Disney for his innovative spirit and forward thinking.
I’m also currently five months pregnant and can’t wait to raise a little Disneyfied son!
You can find me on Instagram at Disneyfied_Ash. In fact, Amanda and I ‘met’ through Instagram before finally meeting in person at Disney’s Hollywood Studios a few years ago!
With that said, I wanted to share my favorite Disney-centric accessories. These are the ones I find myself reaching for the most for park visits, or even just everyday wear.

Disney Dooney & Bourke Bags
I own three Disney Dooney’s- all three a different style and print. Funny enough, even though I’m a Walt Disney World local, they are all Disneyland prints.
The Club 33 print is my most recent, and was gifted to me by my sweet husband after our indulgent and magical lunch there last November. I use this as my everyday purse and just love it so.
The Disneyland 60th Diamond Anniversary print is the most functional of the bunch. I love the cross-body feature and am reminded of my fabulous trip to the D23 Expo every time I use it, since that’s when I got it.
The Disneyland Park Icon print was my first Disney Dooney. I love the small size that can be worn as a wristlet or mini-purse; I even thread the handle through my belt loops and use it as a ‘fashionable’ fanny pack of sorts when I want to go hands-free in the parks. (Is there such thing as a ‘fashionable’ fanny pack?!)

Disney Cruise Line Alex & Ani and Epcot/Spaceship Earth Pandora Bracelets
I have a lot of Alex & Ani bracelets, and they’re all special in one way or another. My Disney Cruise Line bracelet is extra special though; it can only be purchased on the ships, and my hubby got it for me during our Honeymoon Cruise on the Disney Fantasy last May.

Speaking of my hubby, it’s lucky for him (and for our pocketbooks) that I’m not the biggest fan of the Pandora line of jewelry, because it could get expensive, quickly. I do really like this Spaceship Earth charm and braided leather bracelet combo, however. I think it’s simple and classic;  sometimes less is more. We also splurged on the Mickey and Minnie clasp chain, since the Spaceship Earth bead was often getting stuck on the little screw connector at the end of the bracelet.

Retro Epcot Ears
Let’s talk ears, shall we? I admire and appreciate the adorable ears everyone sports in the parks. I, however, cannot wear them for a couple of reasons. One, the bands are very tight and start to give me a headache after a few hours. Two, I wear glasses/sunglasses, and find it cumbersome to combine the two in light of the tight headband.
Well, you can imagine my pleasant surprise when I stumbled upon We’veGotEars and these PRECIOUS Retro Epcot ears. I swooned over them immediately and had to have a pair! Thing is, her ears are in high demand, and as soon as her shop opens, they sell out within minutes. Twice I set my alarm and tried to secure a pair to no avail. Well, third times a charm and these bad boys are now mine.

The best part? They’re SO COMFORTABLE! The bands are loose enough to prevent the ache, but fitted enough to stay secure. They’re durable, unique, and cute to boot. In fact, I wore these the day I wrote this,  when my husband and I visited Epcot to celebrate our Epcotiversary. I’d highly recommend checking out her inventory on Etsy and Instagram, where she posts the most.

Thank you for reading, and another ‘thanks’ to Amanda for letting me cameo on her wonderful blog. If you have any questions about any of the items above, park tips, or just want to meet up when you’re in this neck of the woods, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I’m always on Instagram, too.
In the words on Tigger, TTFN- Ta Ta For Now! XOXO, Ashley

  1. Ashley, How wonderful you get to experience Disney so often! We have a place at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club. It too is about 5 miles from the major park entrances. I love visiting Disney, we just don’t do it enough!!! Thanks for sharing just a wee bit of your Disney knowledge on accessories!

Amanda, great choice for a guest blogger! Continue to enjoy this very special trip!

    1. Hi, thank you for reading! I’ll warn you- like many things Disney, the Dooney line quickly becomes an obsession. But they’re just so darn pretty! Hope to see you in the parks! XO

    1. Thank you for reading, Lauren. While I love lots of the different Disney Dooney’s, I try to limit myself to those that have a special meaning– it does make them that more special when I wear them. XO

  2. It’s so nice to “meet” you, Ashley. What a cute post and I love your 33 Club handbag. :-) You and Amanda are two cute peas in a pod!

Amanda, I highly recommend that you go to the Halekulani one evening. Sit under the stars, with Diamond Head on your left and the Pacific lit up in front of you, and listen the the beautiful live music while enjoying their signature coconut cake. It’s a must!
Also, find a Thai massage immediately! I will be there in two weeks and will be so happy to get back on “island time!”
    Have a great adventure!

  3. PS And don’t miss the Lesportssac shop! They have cute Disney bags (but you and Ashley probably already know all about that!) ;-)

  4. Love this! I found Dixie Delights through Dressing for Disney, and I found Lilly Pulitzer there too :) Now I subscribe to both of your sites, and my wallet is much lighter and closet more colorful!

    1. Wow Mindy, what a compliment! I’ve been fortunate to have many readers come to Dressing for Disney through Dixie Delights, but you’re the first I’ve heard of that did the reverse. You made my day. Thanks so much for reading– and girl, I TOTALLY feel ya on the lighter wallet thing. It hurts so good. XO

  5. Great post!! I’ll have to look for the DCL Alex and Ani on our cruise this summer. Looking forward to hearing more about your fabulous honeymoon cruise. Congrats on your sweet baby boy!! : )

  6. Hi Ashley, great post on some fabulous Disney attire for in and outside of the parks! I love the Disney community and so glad that I found you on IG and had the chance to meet you, and run into you at “the world” quite often! Living so close to WDW warms my heart. I found Dixie Delights thru your IG and blog and I love following along on both! Also, I don’t own any Disney Dooney yet but I LOVE my Disney Alex & Ani bracelets. *o* Kari
