Magical Monday {Magic Kingdom 45th Anniversary + Skipper Canteen}

We had the good fortune of being IN the Magic Kingdom for it’s 45th birthday on October 1!!  We had the trip locked and loaded for months before I even realized that we’d be there.  I think the lady to our right was SUPER excited about this as well.

It was the last day of our trip and Honey and the boys slept in.  I met up with my sweet friend Ashley for rope drop, coffee, the special castle show, a little shopping and a few rides.

The boys joined me later in the morning and we finally, for the first time in ALL of our visits, met the Mayor of Main Street!

Spirits were so high that I also convinced the baby to take a quick pic with me at the “Purple Wall”.

We had lunch for the first time at Skipper Canteen before heading back to Atlanta.  We LOVED it!  The menu was adventurous for a theme park, but our family really enjoyed our food.

We made many other visits to Magic Kingdom over the course of our week at Disney.  We were staying at the Polynesian on the monorail so it made it easy to pop in.  I loved all of the fall decor!

 

I’m pretty sure we did every ride in the park during our week.  And our favorites multiple times.

 

 

We met up with friends, of both the human and creature varieties, on a few occasions too!

We had all of our favorite snacks and took advantage of our favorite rest stops.

There’s just no place more magical for our family.  Many, many memories were made in our home away from home.

 

 

I love every thing in Disney World, but the Magic Kingdom has always been my favorite!!
