Summer in Savannah {Cheering on the Savannah Bananas}

The Savannah Bananas are in their third season at Historic Grayson Stadium and they sell out games all the time!  We always have so much fun at their games that its become a summer tradition.

Honey and John aren’t arriving until tomorrow evening, so we’ve been enjoying a lot of one-on-one time.  When I can tear him away from Jay, that is.  :-)

Split is such a fun mascot, always dancing and full of personality.  They call him the King of Potassium.  HA!

I shared some videos on Instagram of all of the music, games, dancing and such that goes on in the stands and on the field during the games.

If you go…

  • Purchase tickets online in advance.  Will Call is very efficient and easy for picking up.  (Something I usually dread.)
  • Gates open an hour before the game.  Go early for open seating!
  • Merchandise can be purchased from the Banana Stand at Grayson Stadium during regular business hours, as well as during games.
  • The food is fun – look for the garbage can nachos, Byrd’s cookies, craft beer (including a banana option), and other themed offerings!!

I’ve received a few messages looking for advice on visiting Savannah.  Check out all of our favorites here >> Delightful Savannah.  I’ll also update it with things we do this trip!!
