A few weeks ago, Disney Vacation Club brought us down for pre-stay ahead of the DVC Member Cruise! We were SO excited when we found out we would be in a Casade Cabin at their newest resort – Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
The 26 Cascade Cabins line Bay Lake. Each stand-alone cabin sleeps up to eight with two bedrooms, two baths and large dining and living room spaces.
The Cascade Cabins are the pinnacle of rustic luxury at the Walt Disney World Resort. The floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed wooden beams and interior-exterior stone-hearth fireplace all make for a truly beautiful space where you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.
The den space has a sleeper sofa and sleeper chair and an interior-exterior stone-hearth gas fireplace, with incredible views of the water beyond.
The fully equipped, open-style kitchen has quartz counter tops and a live-sawn cut oak dining table. There is plenty of seating, with 8 at the table and 4 at the island, and this is a perfect space for a large family or even two families. When staying in villa accommodations, we love to have our groceries delivered for at least breakfast and snacks, and maybe an happy hour or two :-). The gift shops also have basic provisions that are great to have in-room!
DVC left us a delicious assortment of chocolates from the Ganachery and we had a great night catching up with our local friends (Disneyfied Ash) in this beautiful space.
And, the incredible private back screened-in porch runs the full-width of the cabin and features a built-in hot tub, lounge furniture, picnic table and natural stone fireplace. It is a gorgeous extension of the living space that could be enjoyed year round. The hot tub does have a tasteful fence around it so that guests with little ones can enjoy the cabin and porch without fearing an accident. We loved seeing and hearing the boats go by, watching both the sunrise and the sunset here, and a magical glimpse of the Magic Kingdom fireworks with the music piped right into our cabin.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed with oak headboard, flat panel TV, custom artwork, two nightstands and separate entry to screened-in porch, as well as an en suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a window seat reading nook with additional storage and a single pull-down bed featuring Whit’s beloved Chip and Dale.
The second bathroom is separated into two sections – one with a tub/shower combo and vanity, and a second area offering a powder room with toilet and vanity. Each cabin also has a washer and dryer.
Our stay here was one of the most magical we’ve ever had at Disney and I cannot recommend it enough for a luxurious, memorable and absolutely magical stay! Many thanks to Disney Vacation Club for hosting us again, and to Ashley and her family for always making time for us when we come to town!!
