We spent our second day of skiing on the California Lodge side of Heavenly. It is just stunning!
The W twins were in ski school, Honey and our boys spent the day skiing together, Stacey’s husband skied solo, and the two of us found our favorite green of all time. (“All time” being the 5 total days we’ve skied together in our life.)
We all met up for lunch at the lodge. Their bloody mary’s couldn’t hold a candle to those at Tamarack yesterday. You know, this is how I rate and rank a ski resort…
Stacey and I tend to get ourselves into precarious situations when left to our own devices, and today was no exception. We nearly found ourselves propelled into the moguls under the lift when we got tangled up in each others skis and lost Stacey’s pole. We laugh so hard about these situations that we cry, and when we retell them to the men they just shake their heads trying to understand HOW these things happen.
With all of the men and kids occupied, we started our apres ski much earlier today at Fire & Ice, and tried the spiked apple cider at the recommendation of another guest. Yum!!
Oh, and we finally tried Heavenly Donuts. They were, in fact, heavenly.
We decided to have dinner back at the house because everyone was exhausted. The kids went to bed, the adults played some spades, and the men hit the casino. Life is good.
