We were up bright and early (thank you East coast time) and were back on the road at 6:45 AM to try to make it to Tahoe.
The totals for this winter storm are coming in at over 8 FEET of snow! The drive was slow and steady and like being in the middle of a winter wonderland.
For a while, this was the view out of my window!
About three hours later, which wasn’t bad all things considering, we arrived at our home away from home for the week!
We made a grocery run and got outfitted in skis. Once the kids were down for the night we enjoyed a few lively rounds of spades. Looking forward to a sunny day on the slopes tomorrow!

Welcome to the West. You are lucky to have hit one of the best winters we’ve had in a long time. Enjoy your time in Tahoe. The skiing is going to be wonderful!

I’m one of those people who believes you should never get on a plane that goes where it’s colder than where you are. So glad that you guys are enjoying the snow. I would be complaining like mad.
Wow! I’ve never seen so much snow! xo
