At the recommendation of blonde AW, a girl much more in-the-know than me, Honey and I recently enjoyed a fun night out at Golden Eagle.
Located along Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail inside of a former train station, stepping in Golden Eagle is like stepping back in time.
Inside is dark and glamorous in a retro kind of feel. The ceilings are tall, the carpets are plaid and the art deco style horseshoe bar was a hubbub of activity. We chose one of the plush, velvet seating areas and it was quite romantic.
Golden Eagle serves a full dinner menu, as well as an extensive cocktail selection ranging from classics to modern day favorites.
We stopped in Golden Eagle not knowing what to expect and regret that we were headed to dinner afterwards when we saw the menu. We only imbibed in cocktails this time, but I have already put it on my brother in law’s radar to come back down for the full experience soon. This sort of place is right up his alley!
