Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Sebastian’s Bistro is a new table serve restaurant located on the Old Port Royale waterfront promenade at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. They open nightly for dinner and we were excited to try it out during our recent stay.

Inside, the decor is colorful, friendly and elegant feeling at the same time. I absolutely loved the space and felt like we were in for a treat the moment we arrived.

The menu features Latin and Caribbean flavors. Everything looked so good that we almost had a hard time choosing.

We started with the Caribbean Pull-apart Rolls with Guava Butter, Onion Jam, and Jamaican Jerk Oil. They were delicious and I’d highly recommend them! Honey also chose the Cuban Black Bean Soup with Jasmine Rice and I only got one bite before he polished it off!

For our entrees, we had three amazing meals! (Whit went with a burger sooooo not counting his.) John chose the Grilled Skirt Steak with Crispy Yuca, Baby Bell Peppers, and Chimichurri and would barely spare a bite for the rest of us to taste. It was delicious and one of our mutual favorites! Honey went with the Coconut Shrimp and Grits. It was also quite good, but our least favorite of the three only because the other two were so outstanding. I had the Sustainable Mahi Mahi with Coconut-Orange Rice, Pickled Onions, Arugula, and Lemon-Butter Sauce. Oh my goodness, I wanted to lap every last bit off of my plate. Overall, a great success!

For desserts, Honey and I shared the Classic Mile High Key Lime Pie while Whit and John shared the Warm Chocolate Pudding. Both were good. I preferred the Key Lime Pie!

We arrived early and had a glass of line in the Banana Cabana right next door after checking in with the hostess. I let her know we would love to wait on a table by the window.

The request came through and was so nice!! This was a view of the new Riveria Resort opening in December.

After dinner we strolled along the water and watched the sun set. It was a lovely evening! You can see the new skyliner lines too.

If you go:

  • Sebastian’s Bistro is a great use of one table serve credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
  • The restaurant is only open for dinner.
  • I would not advise traveling from another resort to eat here, only because there are great options all over Walt Disney World. However, if you are staying at Caribbean Beach, definitely make room for this in your itinerary.
  • The restaurant is small and I highly recommend advance dining reservations. It is a hidden gem right now, so not too difficult to get in.

I can’t wait to do an updated review on Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort soon.
