Disney California Adventure Theme Park

Disney California Adventure is like no other theme park around! It’s themed lands are completely immersive and let you step right inside your favorite movies and experience attractions along side your favorite characters.

Pixar Pier

Pixar Pier is a whimsical boardwalk where Pixar stories and characters come to life! Incredicoaster is one of my family’s favorite theme park attractions anywhere. Don’t miss out on a Num Num cookie before you leave this area!

Other darling, family friendly attractions include Jessie’s Critter Carousel, Toy Story Midway Mania and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind.

At night, the boardwalk comes alive with twinkle lights and festive music.

Lamplight Lounge

Lamplight Lounge is one of my favorite Disneyland dining establishments and a don’t-miss from trip to trip. Lamplight Lounge celebrates the creativity of Pixar animation over gastropub cuisine, signature cocktails and panoramic waterfront views. Reservations for the dining room are hard to come by, but we’ve always had luck with walk up dining on the boardwalk! Be sure to ask about the secret cocktail menu. Don’t miss the potato skins and lobster nachos.

Cars Land

In Cars Land you literally drive right into your favorite movie scenes on Route 66! In my opinion this was Disney’s first completely immersive land and they completely nailed it! You’ll find three attractions, favorite Cars characters driving down the street and fun meals at Flo’s V-8 and the Cozy Cone.

Going back at night is a must-do, and the small size of the overall resort makes this super easy!

Avengers Campus

Avengers Campus is a brand new land that just opened this summer at the Disneyland Resort! Here, you can team up with the Avengers as you explore a campus created for the next generation of super heroes.  See all the details on Avengers Campus in THIS POST:

Characters

We loved seeing all of our Disney friends out and about in the park. Like I said, Disneyland gets the gold star for character availability and interactions.

We also had so much fun with cute pop up photo spots! Honey and I are obsessed with Wanda Vision and he got a real kick out of these.

Carthay Circle Al Fresco Dining

While I’ve dined in the Carthay Circle restaurant on every trip, the Carthay Circle Al Fresco Dining was a new and enjoyable experience for me! The words “al fresco” are a bit misleading as you may be seated anywhere in the first floor lounge OR al fresco on the sidewalk patio. We were seated at a high top in the lounge and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner of tapas and traditional cocktails.

If you’re thinking of a Disneyland vacation, I’m ready to get you there! Whether it is your first or if you’re looking for something different than Disney World, I have a number of Disneyland trips under my belt and experience with the brand new protocols from this most recent visit.
