In celebration of his sixteenth birthday, John brought two friends with us to Disney World for fall break. We loved rolling out the red carpet for them and absolutely delighted in their constant joy and excitement. One of the most special things we planned was a private cruise to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks!
All three were celebrating 16, so I had the boat decorate with banners and balloons!
The boat is stocked with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Between the four boys, nothing was left at the end of our journey. HA!
Guests are permitted to bring their own food and drinks onboard as well. We typically take a bottle of wine or champagne. Make sure you have plastic cups – that is the only requirement.
We set sail from the Contemporary marina and cruised the Seven Seas Lagoon for about an hour while the sun set. It’s the most beautiful time of day at Disney!
The music is piped into the boat and we had the most perfect view. You can’t see the castle and Main Street projections from this vantage point, but I’ll trade that any day for this experience.
These types of nights at Disney are the ones I never forget.
I knew these three were loving it when I spied them each take a “snap” and then settle in for the show!
Our captain returned us to the Grand Floridian where the celebration continued!
