‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is one of those places with a HUGE fan following that has stood the test of time.

Our boys weren’t interested in joining, having made their own dinner reservation, so Honey and I enjoyed a lovely date night! We took a beautiful sunset stroll from Grand Floridian to Polynesian along the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Located on the upper level of the resort lobby, you feel miles away from the theme parks in a dining room brimming with tikis and tropical greenery.

The meal is served family style with a variety of dishes from the South Pacific. The menu changed after reopening in 2021 and then was tweaked again based on fan feedback. The menu includes salad and bread, potstickers, grilled teriyaki beef, spicy peel-n-eat shrimp, grilled chicken and ʻOhana Noodles. Plus, you can satisfy your sweet tooth with pineapple coconut bread pudding and vanilla ice cream. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! I can never tire of those potstickers and noodles – they are among my favorite things to eat at Disney.

A strolling musician sets the perfect ambiance for your dinner.

Window tables at ‘Ohana have a spectacular view of Magic Kingdom fireworks. However, if you aren’t lucky enough to be seated at one of those, this is not a recommend spot for dinner and fireworks viewing.

I always recommend arriving early or staying after for a drink at Tambu Lounge. My favorite drink ever is the Lapu Lapu.

Better than from inside any restaurant, we enjoyed the Enchantment fireworks on our walk back to Grand Floridian. What a night!
