Our first full day started relatively early in Mountain time. I popped downstairs to Buzz to pick up muffins, bagels and coffee and we dined in the suite with this incredible morning view.
Honey took the boys down to Compass Sports to get outfitted in their ski gear. They hit the slopes just after opening and sent me all of two whole photos from their day.
I was off to the gym for 3 miles with THIS incredible view in front of me, and a good new podcast to make the time fly by. (Unraveled Season 4)
After a shower, I headed to the study to cozy up with my book. (The Rose Code)
I dined at Apex for lunch, party of one and no shame in my game. It was divine! The views, the service, the crackling fire, the food, and the Black Diamond cocktail. The only Black Diamond this girl cares to get to know.
Back at the room, I took some pics for the blog. I’ll share those soon! I caught a Harry Potter marathon, which just seemed so right with the winter wonderland outside the suite windows.
When the guys returned we all hopped in the hot tub to debrief on the day.
Honey and I enjoyed happy hour in Vista Lounge while the boys zoned out on their devices.
And then we all ended the evening over a delicious dining experience at Shabu on Main Street. The Shabu Shabu was the favorite, but everything we had was wonderful.
We returned back to Montage, full, happy and tired.

You don’t ski?? I love just enjoying the mountains covered in snow, and tubing, and snowshoeing and all the rest, but skiing is the best! I will confess I enjoy leisurely blues more than blacks these days, but there is nothing better than finding that long run off the beaten path with just you, and the mountains. It’s so peaceful and refreshing.
I’ve never tried a day at the lodge by myself though, I’d probably enjoy that too! :)
I do ski! We had four full days and I opted for just a 2 day lift ticket. I don’t love skiing but I love doing things my family loves. I felt like this was the perfect balance!
