We were up and at ’em early, with a hearty breakfast in the room! Room service is my kids’ MOST favorite vacation splurge. When you book luxury travel with me, I can usually add a breakfast credit on your behalf for each morning of your stay. It sounds like a little thing, but it is such a treat!
For all of our previous ski trips, we rented a house or condo. This is our first resort stay and boy do I feel spoiled. They do it right! These three already had their gear but I was expertly fitted in no time flat. They store everything downstairs. You just pop in and give your last name, and your gear is retrieved from your locker. When they offered to put my feet in my boots I couldn’t nod my head fast enough! I swear, wrangling myself into those things is harder than the actual act of skiing down a mountain. Montage is ski in ski out but a lack of snow this early in the season means a quick shuttle to the lift at Silver Lake Lodge. You simply give your name, sip hot chocolate and wait on the driver to arrive. They even load your skis on the back.
We started our day together for a few runs! It was a stunning day, full of sunshine and fluffy white snow.
I stopped before the rest of the crew to get our name on the list to dine inside for lunch. This is what I do best… the apres ski part.
After lunch the four of us headed up again. Honey and John eventually split off and Whit was stuck with me for a couple of hours. He is so patient and kind with me. <3
Back at Compass Sports at Montage, they promptly get you out of those boots. It’s the little details!
We soaked in the hot tub again, showered and headed down for hot cocoa and s’mores! This happens daily at every Montage resort. The best part are the gourmet marshmallows. YUMMMM! During our stay here they have had caramel, peppermint and mocha.
We enjoyed a super casual dinner here at the resort at Daly’s Pub and Rec. The boys wanted to watch some football game and this was the place! In addition to all the TVs, they have bowling lanes, darts, Playstations, foosball and more. The kids were in heaven while Honey and I sat back, relaxed and marveled at a memorable day.
