It’s our winter break week and I had the extreme pleasure of jetting off to Disney World with Whit for a few days. John doesn’t get to take time off since he plays a spring sport. Whit decided to split his week in half – going with me to Disney World and then with Honey to ski Breck! Most of the trip and decisions were planned by Whit himself.
He chose Port Orleans French Quarter for our stay. This had nothing to do with the beignets. Nothing at all. :-)
Our first full day, and the top thing on his agenda, was Epcot Festival of the Arts. We ate our way around the world and did a number of rides too!
We took an afternoon pool break.
And then headed back to Epcot for dinner at Coral Reef. It was our first time there and we enjoyed it!
We slept in on day two and then spent the morning back at the pool. We headed into Magic Kingdom after lunch and did EVERY “big” ride in the park.
We took the boat to Wilderness Lodge for another “Whit Pick” – dinner at Artist Point. It was delicious!
Day 3 we were up and at em! We covered all his favorites in Hollywood Studios. The Indiana Jones show was a highlight and we were so glad to see it back.
We took a pool break in the afternoon and then the boat to Disney Springs for dinner. He picked another new to us location – Raglan Road. It was delicious and we can’t wait to bring John and Honey back.
We visited Gideon’s Bakehouse for the first time and brought home a box of cookies to sample! They were delicious!
We had a late flight home so we kicked off our final day at Animal Kingdom, once again doing all of his favorites.
It was a special week with my “baby”. I marveled at how lucky I am to call him mine many times this week. He’s a true joy to be with and I treasure this one on one time!
With that, I’ve already received the first picture from Breck!!
I’m back at home, catching up on the house and work, running puppy day care, and keeping up with John. The weather has been gorgeous and I have zero desire to be in Colorado right now :-)
