At long last, we finally got our hands on the divine cookies at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs!

Since opening it’s Disney Springs storefront, Gideon’s has been all the rage! There are often lines of over 90 minutes just to get inside. When we arrived at Disney Springs for dinner at Raglan Road last month, our first stop was not dinner or World of Disney – it was to scan our names onto the list at Gideon’s Bakehouse! This puts you in a virtual queue so you can enjoy the rest of Disney Springs while you wait. Almost 90 minutes to the second after we got in the virtual line we received our text to return. At this point, you join a physical queue of about 20 minutes. Not bad at all!! We took this time to pour over the menu and make our decisions.
I don’t know what I was expecting to find inside, but it wasn’t this! It was such a neat little shop, full of curiosities and cookies.
Small-Batch, Handmade and Almost a Half-Pound Cookies!
Orlando’s very own Gideon’s Bakehouse is best known for their ingredient rich, from-scratch “almost half pound” cookies that take over 24 hours to create. Prepare to experience flavors ranging from their celebrated Original Chocolate Chip to addicting Pistachio Toffee.
We had just enjoyed a huge and delicious meal at Raglan Road and decided to bring home a variety box of six cookies to share with the rest of the family. They individually wrapped each cookie, and all made the trip home safely.
We almost couldn’t stand to wait to try them, but managed to hold out! Our collective favorite was chocolate chip, with peanut butter crunch and cookies & cream being our other top runners.
