Disney’s Beach Club Resort & Villas

I absolutely love the casual elegance of Disney’s Beach Club Resort & Villas. I’ve personally chosen this charming, New England-style Resort hotel for my own family many times over the years. Here, you will savor exquisite dining, and explore the pools, lagoons and spas of Stormalong Bay. Sail around Crescent Lake on a rented mini-powerboat, and experience the luxurious comfort of a Club Level Suite. Sharing many amenities with its more formal sister, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Arriving at Disney’s Beach Club Resort doesn’t give away all of the amazing things to come. In fact, it’s rather unimpressive.

But once you step inside and out back, there’s no doubting the lake front resort is a perfect home away from home for any Disney vacation. This post is a compilation of photos, thoughts and reviews from many stays!

I wish I could capture the delectable scent of the lobby, but photos will have to suffice!

Beach Club Resort Accommodations

There are regular hotel room accommodations and club level rooms on the “resort” side.  Most of the rooms have two queen beds and sleep a 5th on the sofa bed.

There is a nice desk area, with a nested table for even more surface area.

The bathrooms are well appointed, bright and clean.

Room views can vary of the resort, pools, and front drive. On this stay, our club level room overlook the back entrance and pool.

Beach Club Resort Deluxe Room

The Deluxe Room is a bit of a unicorn, and one we all absolutely LOVED staying here. It is HUGE and so much more spacious than a regular hotel room. This is perfect for families.

The sofa extends to sleep 2 more in this spacious nook.

There is a desk area, with a table on wheels that slides out for even more table top space. Even with the extra table out and sofa bed extended, there is room to easily maneuver.

You enter this room via a long hallway, at the end of which is the coffee / fridge. There was enough room here to accommodate a pack and play, which is amazing!

The room does only have one bathroom, so I wouldn’t cram in too many people. It was light and spacious.

We were on a corner with a spectacular balcony running the length of the room.

A second juliette balcony had a view of Stormalong Bay.

Beach Club Resort Stone Harbor Club

The Stone Harbor Club is the concierge lounge available to guests staying in club level rooms and suites. We absolutely love staying club level, for the extra space, food and attention of a designated concierge staff. This lounge is quite spacious, with plenty of room for seating, a TV area for kids and multiple serving areas.

We always enjoy breakfast in the lounge, when staying in concierge accommodations. There is a huge variety of hot and cold items and everyone is pleased. While beer, wine and liquor is out in the evenings, it is always available on request. So, go ahead and enjoy your morning mimosa!

Afternoons bring snacks, both bagged and plated to enjoy in the lounge or take on the go. Soft drinks and other drinks are readily available, with bottled water on request to take with you. We loved the freezer of Mickey ice cream bars at Beach Club!

Evenings bring a delicious spread of hot and cold appetizers. This is plenty to make a light meal of, but I wouldn’t’ do it every night. You will find items from the resort restaurants located in each club lounge. Here, we definitely identified a few from Ale & Compass!

Later evenings bring desserts and cordials. Beer and Wine is also available. You can see some of the Epcot fireworks from this lounge, but it isn’t a great view.

Villas at Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Over on the villas side there are studios as well as 1- and 2- bedroom villas with full kitchens and home-like amenities.

Our room was located right off of the lobby space in the villas on the main floor and it was absolutely perfect for us!  It was convenient to food, the pool, transportation and community hall.

Beach Club Resort One Bedroom Villa

Right off of a little foyer with a table, mirror and full closet is the main living space.  We had a full kitchen, dining area and living room space with a pull out sofa bed for the boys.  There was also a patio off of this room.

How darling are these Flounder pillows?!?!

The bathroom in the villa was fabulous.  Disney calls this a split style bath.  In one room was a shower, sink and potty room accessible from the den and connecting to the other side of the bath via a door.

The other side had another sink, tub and closet.  This connected to the bedroom. This format is really nice for a family getting ready for bed and night and the parks in the morning.

The bedroom had a king sized bed, chair, TV, desk and a second patio.

And, the villa rounded out with a washer and dryer that came in very handy with drying wet sneakers after rain storms.  HA!

Villa Amenities

Community Halls are one of our favorite parts of staying in a Disney villa.  Each of them has something different to offer, but the one at Beach Club had a pool table and TV.  We were right across the hall from it and my boys made really good use of it!  While Honey and I were getting ready to go to the park, they just came over here and played some billiards.  They were really thrilled with it!

Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts

The Beach Club is a sister resort to the Yacht Club. The two resorts are connected by Stormalong Bay, the absolutely fantastic sandy bottomed pool with slide, volleyball, lazy river and more!!  It’s an AMAZING pool, and is zoned as a water park.

Here you can see the giant pirate themed slide from across the water.  It shoots you across the walkway into the big pool and is FUN!

Beach Club Resort Dining

As far as dining, Hurricane Hanna’s offers a full bar and menu. We typically enjoy this at least once during any stay.

There is a quick serve at Beach Club, but our favorite is the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.  They offer a sit down meal as well as an ice cream takeaway line.  Mickey’s Kitchen Sink is a must-try :-)  We dined at Beaches & Cream on our stay at Yacht Club and enjoyed the food a lot.

Beach Club is also home to Cape May Cafe with a character breakfast featuring Donald, Goofy and Minnie.  We dined here on a previous trip and found the buffet food was VERY good in comparison to most of the others.  We loved the crepe station and chorizo sausage eggs in particular. (Characters have not yet returned to Cape May)

In addition to the main pool, our room opened up on to a quiet pool with a hot tub and pool table.  This was another favorite spot for the boys.  I spent most mornings having my coffee on our patio while they swam and did this!

Disney’s Beach Club Resort Location

Beach Club shares the Yacht Club marina and is just a short boat ride away to Hollywood Studios.  It is also a quick walk to Disney’s Boardwalk with more dining and entertainment.

Another key benefit of Beach Club is that our room was a 5 minute walk to the International Gateway in Epcot.  It puts you in the park right between England and France and opens up a “whole world” of dining and attractions!!
