Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

UPDATED POST – CLICK HERE

Roundup Rodeo BBQ has opened in Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it is the cutest and yummiest addition to Disney dining in ages! I got a preview a few weeks before opening, and then dined in with Whit at the start of our Spring Break. Both times I couldn’t help but smile through the entire meal!

Giddy up – let’s go inside! And I mean that quite literally… guests are invited to ride a stick pony from the hostess stand all the way to their table. Every detail is darling!

Once inside, you are “shrunk” to the size of Andy’s toys! At Roundup Rodeo BBQ, you are surrounded by Andy’s rodeo at play––everything from western towns and train station playsets. It’s a whimsical kaleidoscope of toys, games and playsets!

Throughout the meal, you might even be asked to freeze when Andy starts heading to the rodeo!

A fun little tidbit – Andy’s ruler that lines one of the bench seating areas is the exact scale of the restaurant! Everything inside was created by this ruler!

Now, let’s talk about the tasty vittles at this family-style BBQ!

We started with the Snake Eye Margarita and Partysaurus Tex drinks. Whit loved his. Mine was fine.

Moving on to the grub, your meal starts with absolutory delicious biscuits and a trio of salads for the table to enjoy.

  • The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Sweet Pepper Jelly
  • Rootin’ Tootin Tomato Salad (our fave!)
  • Rex’s Romaine and Kale Salad
  • Wheezy’s Watermelon Salad (picky eater can order without the mint)

When it’s time to chow down, your party can choose from the Platter of House Smoked Meats:

  • Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs
  • Buttercup’s Beef Brisket
  • There’s a Sausage in my Boot – Fire-Grilled Pork Sausage
  • BBQ Chicken – With Style

Or Trixie’s Plant-Based Trio featuring:

  • Combat Carloflower with Harissa Drizzle and Walnut Gremolata
  • Scrumptious Bratwurst
  • Rip Roarin’ Rib Chop

We went with the meat. We both loved the brisket most, but everything was really quite good. I also ordered the cedar plank salmon and it was delicious! It is a supplement to the meal and there is no additional cost.

Each table can choose four of the eight sides to start with, but you can order more as a second round.

  • Mean Old Potato Salad – Homestyle Red-skinned Potatoes
  • The Married Spuds – Loaded Potato Barrels (can order sauce on side)
  • Veggie Slaw – (Plant-based)
  • Force Field Fried Pickles
  • Campfire-roasted Vegetables – (Plant-based)
  • Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese (can order without topping)
  • Buckin’ Baked Beans – (Plant-based)
  • Cowpoke Corn on the Cob – Grilled Street Corn (can be ordered plain)

We did the corn, mac, pickles and spuds. They were all delicious! We both chose pickles as our favorite, with the spuds being a close second for me and the corn a close second for Whit.

Each person orders their own from the Chuckwagon Dessert menu.

  • Bo’s Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake
  • Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie
  • Goat’s Apple Pie
  • Gruff’s Peach-Strawberry Pie (Plant-based)
  • Cupcake à la Forky

The lemon and blueberry cheesecake was our favorite!

The fun doesn’t end with the food. Imagine our delight when the check came with THIS for my signature! SO FUN!

We both absolutely loved this meal and we can’t wait to bring Honey and John back in the fall! Of course, I work with all of my clients to find the perfect meals for the family AND I take care of securing those hard to get reservations! I’d LOVE to work with you on your trip!
