Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one of our long-time favorites! We are relatively frequent fliers at Wilderness Lodge and always set aside an evening to enjoy the Western fare with a side of shenanigans!
Tether your trusty steed and mosey into this log-cabin lodge with rough-hewn charm and colorfully named Cast Members who have a reputation for sassing customers. It’s a rootin-tootin good time!
Whispering Canyon is known for their tasty beverages and skillets. Both are hearty and good.
Your all you care to enjoy skillet meal starts with delicious cornbread and honey butter.
We typically go for The Traditional, but it is priced by the person so your table can mix it up!
The a la cart items are nothing to sneeze at either. Everything I’ve tried here has been down-home yummy. Dinner selections are primarily skillets but at lunch I love the pulled pork sandwich and chopped salad!
What really makes the meal memorable and so quintessentially Disney are the cast member antics! While some of the shenanigans are toned down, Cast Members go out of their way to make you hoot and holler with laughter.
We first dined here back in 2013 and have been countless times since. We have so many fun memories… Whit went so far as to ask if the skillet was a souvenir. HAHA!

We tend to frequent Whispering Canyon with friends. It’s a fun place for a group. The kids always need ketchup!

Whipsering Canyon is located inside of the Wilderness Lodge Resort. Advance reservations are definitely needed, but it is not one of those impossible to get locations. I do recommend dining here if you are staying at Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness. I do not recommend traveling over here for dinner if you are not staying here!
