Asheville NC {Grove Park Inn Arrival & Curate Dinner}

I love it when lacrosse brings us somewhere new and our long weekend in Asheville, North Carolina is a prime example of that! Honey and I last visited a couple of decades ago, seeking adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains and history at the Biltmore. Here with the boys, we are seeking dreamy summer nights, stolen moments of relaxation and delectable dining in our time off the field. We checked in at the Grove Park Inn and immediately headed to the terrace for happy hour and impressive views.

After settling into our rooms for the long weekend, we were off to downtown Asheville! We had some time to explore and couldn’t resist Asheville Chocolate. Dessert before dinner made everyone happy! Whit had gelato and Honey and I split a few truffles (amaretto, honey and lavender!)

I secured our table at Curate Bar de Tapas many weeks ago and was so excited for Whit to try a Spanish tapas meal for the first time. I figured it would be right up my little foodie’s alley and I wasn’t wrong!

We used our pens and paper menus to check off items of interest. In the end, we enjoyed nine different dishes and dessert, all of which were excellent.

There’s nothing I love more than a getaway with my people.
