Universal Orlando {Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, Theme Parks, Vivo Italian Kitchen, Velvet Lounge}

One of the most fantastic things about Unviersal is that when you have Express Pass, you can truly do it all. You can sleep in, arrive at the parks when you want to, do all the rides, take a break to swim, eat, etc. It’s just SO EASY! And, this is pretty much what happened each day.

I am an early riser and found a lovely verandah overlooking the pool for morning coffee. There is a Starbucks at the Hard Rock and there was never a line!

The boys started stirring around 10AM and I picked up a last minute lunch res for 11:30 at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. That’s also my favorite – booking dining on the go! Our rule of thumb with our boys’ friends is that if you eat with us, we pay. So everyone was onboard for lunch AND dinner today.

The food here is fine, but it is really the amazing milkshakes that I knew the boys would love. Whit shared with Honey and I, and the seniors did the 5 milkshake sampler (giving them each their own half-sized shake, which is a completely reasonable portion).

There is a separate line for shakes and treats if you wish to enjoy something sweet without a meal reservation. I find those lines get extremely long at night, so best to go early or just dine in!

After lunch we all headed into Universal Studios, but then went our separate ways. The seniors were doing Rip Ride Rocket and we started in what will be the new Minion Land when fully complete this summer. It’s darling and I LOVE the minions!

We caught a few other rides and then spent the bulk of our afternoon in Diagon Alley.

We did an early evening dip in the pool and then Honey, Whit and I popped down to Velvet Lounge for a drink.

Finally, we met the seniors at Vivo Italian Kitchen for a delicious supper. A few of them said it was the best Italian they’ve had. It is one of our favorites and never disappoints!

The boys went back for more rides, and we hit the hay! They checked in with us right around midnight on their return and we didn’t hear a peep out of them after that.
