Last week we were at Narcoossee’s and this week we return to Citricos. This signature restaurant is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and is one of my favorites. I find it hard to choose between the two and would eat at both on every visit if I could! Like the rest of the resort, Citricos has been beautifully updated with a whimsical Mary Poppins Returns theme and the menu has be revamped. Both are practically perfect in every way!
The dining room brings you into a fanciful garden scene that takes cues from the film’s animated sequence—with motifs of flowers, butterflies and more.
The dressmaker details are elegant and playful and I just couldn’t get enough of them! Part of the dining experience for me is the decor and Citricos is everything I can hope for in that regard!
A keen eye might even spot Mary’s hat and bag!
Honey and I have visited the Citricos Lounge a few times in the past year and it is also a delight! Reservations are not required and you can order from the full menu here. We’ve only come for drinks and I can report back that those are delicious!
In fact, one of my top three Disney cocktails is found here! Meet the Orange Blossom Martini.
The meal begins with a bread service. My favorite is the Strawberry Salad – it just might be the best salad I’ve had.
The menu—crafted by Chef Andres Mendoza—features Florida cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. Our “usuals” are the Guava Barbecued Short Ribs, House Made Rigatoni and Sustainable Fish. All are absolute perfection. I had the short ribs and would never choose anything different!
We always add on the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese and oh my word – this is a dish dreams are made of. It is unlike any mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this splurge!
If you can possibly save room for dessert – do! My favorite is the chocolate torte. My guys like the Guava-cheese Fusion.
The Grand Floridian is forever my favorite resort – and the food here is just one of the reasons. Read a full review here:

I’m just curious if you fly with carry-ons and take your changes with flight delays or head out early and drive six and a half hours each way. Enquiring minds want to know. 🤔 Even with a driver in Orlando, airports are always time-consuming. My friend and I just cruise to Las Vegas because it ends up being about the same amount of time (5 1/2 hours), all things considered…and we can take more clothes. 😃
It depends! If it’s just me or just 2 of us, we fly. If it’s 3 or all 4 of us, we drive. It is almost the same amount of time for us door to door.
Just wondering where you got the blue checked ruffle tiered dress. Amazing.
Thank you!! It is a 2 piece set from Elizabeth Wilson.
