Goofy’s Sports Deck has long been a favorite spot for my boys onboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Perched high atop the bow of the ship, you’ll find mini golf, basketball and sports simulators.
When the boys were younger, we spent countless hours trying to break par at the whimsical Disney-themed miniature golf course. Starring Goofy and his son, Max, the course features 9 interactive holes emphasizing various golfing lessons—with a delightfully goofy twist. No reservations are needed – just show up and play!
Once my kids turned to tweens and teens, the Sports Simulators held much allure. These do require a reservation and are paid activities. Reservations can be hard to come by for first time cruisers, but I’ve typically had good luck booking once onboard by going directly there! One side of the simulator is specific to golf, and the other offers a variety of virtual sports.
The virtual golf simulator at Goofy’s Sports Deck features a variety of championship golf courses, interactive practice situations and real-time ball flight. This state-of-the-art virtual golf experience is a great way to practice your swing or compete against friends without ever leaving the ship.
Time is booked in 30 minute increments, and we like to do 1 hour total for the family to share.
Featuring realistic graphics and sounds, virtual sports simulators allow you to kick, swing, throw and compete in some of your favorite active sports while out at sea—without the hassle of having to chase a ball. You set the sports simulator to your ability level and experience, and enjoy basketball, football, hockey, soccer, or baseball.
