Before our cruise last month, Honey and I spent a glorious pre-night at the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale. The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale evokes effortless luxury as an approachable beachfront hotel providing a coveted respite, rich with the history and nautical influences so prominently found in the Fort Lauderdale destination. Lulled by the sounds of the surf, our downtown Fort Lauderdale hotel draws in the energy of the surrounding city and emanates the essence of the Forties with a chic, modern-day flair.

We flew in extra early to ensure we had time to make the most of our time.
We were in a stunning corner king room with sweeping ocean views. It was ready on arrival so we settled in and changed.
After that, it was straight to the rooftop pool to soak in the sun. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch there at the pool bar.
Our afternoon was spent at the beach and it was just lovely!
We enjoyed our complimentary cocktails at Burlock Coast.
And then chose a table outside for dinner. Everything we ate was delicious. We thought about leaving the resort, but then thought better of it. :-)
We sat on our sprawling balcony for the spectacular sunset.
On sail away day, we enjoyed our leisurely complimentary breakfast al fresco.
From there, it was a quick and cheap 15 minute uber to port!
