Have you ever wondered what sits on the upper floor of the majestic Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom? I have vivid memories of staring up at the castle as a child imagining the princess living inside. Of course, back then there was no restaurant that you could visit! Now, this gorgeous space overlooking Fantasyland is home to Cinderella’s Royal Table, the quintessential Disney dining experience.

You enter the castle to imposing stone walls and medieval coats of armor. There is a huge fireplace juxta positioned with fairytale stained glass windows. If you look close enough, you will even see Jac and Gus hiding up in the moldings!

Prior to your meal, Cinderella greets each party with conversation, hugs, photos and a signature.

When your royal party is called, you make your way up the spiral staircase to the grand ballroom above!

It is an impressively stunning space, with flags, crests, arched windows and soaring ceilings. It is intimate and special feeling the moment you walk in!

We were thrilled to be seated at a window table with the most perfect view of Fantasyland one could possibly have! Now, this put us further away from the guest of honor, but for our family I couldn’t have been more pleased. I felt just as giddy as the little girls in the room, but for different reasons! (Primarily to enjoy a glass of bubbles while watching the sun set over Fantasyland with my family.)

During your castle visit, four of Cinderella’s friends will come to your table for photos and autographs. While the attending princesses are not set in stone, on this visit we met Snow White, Jasmine, Merida and Ariel.

The food is good (not excellent) and includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert at the price fixe total.

At the end of your meal, choose a wand or sword keepsake!

I always schedule this coveted meal on the most “special” day of my clients’ trips – be that a birthday, anniversary or just the last night for a memorable farewell.

By the time we finished dining, Fantasyland glittered below us!

In fact, we had such a late dinner that we were able to enjoy a quiet, memorable walk out of Fantasyland back to the hustle and bustle of Main Street. These are the types of moments I always treasure – not getting on Mine Train or accomplishing an impossible to do list – but soaking up the small details and magical atmosphere of Disney.

If you go…
- Cinderella’s Royal Table is THE hardest reservation to secure at Disney World.
- This restaurant does not accommodate large parties well. In my experience, groups of more than 6 will need multiple reservations and those are hard to secure at close to the same time.
- This location is considered signature dining and is a price fixe meal.
- This meal is not for everyone and I always council my clients on the best fit for their family. When I cannot secure the reservation due to availability, do not worry. I have other great alternatives!
