Some Disney dining experiences are about the food. Others are about the atmosphere. And then there are the ones that feel like a full moment… this is one of those.
The newest addition to Disney’s BoardWalk, The Cake Bake Shop is as beautiful as it is indulgent. Think soft pastels, sparkling chandeliers and just the right amount of over-the-top charm. It’s feminine, whimsical and completely transportive in a way that feels different from anything else at Walt Disney World. We saved it for the very last morning of my 50th birthday trip, and it could not have been a more perfect choice.
Bakery Walk-Up Option
One thing I especially love about The Cake Bake Shop is that you don’t have to commit to a full meal to enjoy it. There is a bakery walk-up option where you can stop in and grab one of their stunning cakes, pastries or a coffee to go. It’s perfect if you’re strolling the BoardWalk, heading to EPCOT, or just want a little taste of the experience without a full reservation. And truly, the desserts are works of art. Even just popping in feels like a moment.
Our Experience
We were up and at ’em early and hopped on the Skyliner over to the BoardWalk for breakfast. And from the moment we walked in… it felt special. It was, quite literally, the most girly, pink, sparkly breakfast one could ever hope for.
Every detail is intentional. The décor, the presentation, even the way each dish arrives at the table. It all feels celebratory, like you’re part of something just a little bit magical. We loved every single moment.
The men enjoyed their food (and truly, it was very good), but I do think they could have done without all of our squeals of delight and photo-taking as each plate arrived… glittering and almost too pretty to eat.
