Level99 at Disney Springs {Our Experience and What to Know Before You Go}

If you’re looking for something different to do at Walt Disney World, especially with teenagers or a group of adults, I have a new favorite recommendation!

We recently spent an evening at Level99 in Disney Springs with friends, and it was SO much fun. We had a group of seven, enjoyed dinner and cocktails and spent the evening laughing our way through all kinds of challenges. It was one of the most fun evenings of our trip!

What Is Level99 at Disney Springs?

Level99 is an interactive entertainment experience located on the West Side of Disney Springs. Think part escape room, part obstacle course and part game night with friends, all under one roof.

The enormous two-story venue features more than 60 games and challenges that test everything from problem-solving and memory to balance, coordination and teamwork.

There are three different ways to play:

  • Challenge Rooms: Small groups work together to complete themed challenges involving physical skills, mental puzzles or a combination of both. Each challenge lasts just a few minutes.
  • Duels: Go head-to-head with friends in competitive games that put your skills to the test.
  • Hunt Art: Explore the venue’s artwork while searching for hidden symbols to earn points.

You can choose which challenges to try, repeat your favorites and work your way through as many as time allows. Your progress is even saved if you return for another visit.

Our Evening at Level99

We met up with friends for an evening at Level99, and it was an absolute blast! Our group included six grown-ups and one teenager. Whit was a trooper hanging with the “uncs” all evening, but I think he had just as much fun as the rest of us!

One minute you’re trying to solve a puzzle together, and the next you’re attempting some ridiculous physical challenge that has everyone laughing. Some games require strategy, others require coordination and a few will make you wonder why you thought you could pull them off in the first place!

When you arrive, you’re given a wristband that serves as your key to the experience. You’ll use it to enter challenge rooms, track your progress and keep up with your scores throughout the evening. There are also complimentary lockers available to store your belongings, which is especially helpful since some of the challenges are pretty physical!

We also loved that it was more than just an activity. With dinner and cocktails available right inside, we could make an entire evening of it without having to go anywhere else.

Level99 has a full food and beverage menu, including Detroit-style pizza, burgers, shareable appetizers and handcrafted cocktails.

One particularly nice feature is that you can pause your gameplay for up to 30 minutes to enjoy a meal or take a break. That makes it easy to work dinner into your visit without feeling like you’re wasting valuable game time.

Is Level99 Good for Kids?

Here’s where my recommendation gets a little more specific.

I think Level99 is an absolutely fantastic addition to Disney Springs for adults and teenagers. It’s perfect for a date night, a group of friends, families traveling with teens or even a fun evening away from the theme parks.

Personally, I would not prioritize it for families with elementary or middle school-aged children. There are so many wonderful activities around Walt Disney World for that age group, and I think your time and money would be better spent on something designed with younger guests in mind.

In fact, we didn’t see any young children at all during our visit.

That doesn’t mean younger guests can’t enjoy certain activities, but the overall atmosphere and challenges really seem geared toward an older crowd. And I love that Disney Springs now has another entertainment option that appeals so well to that audience!

My Tips for Visiting Level99

A few things I’d recommend before you go:

  • Go with a small group. Challenge Rooms accommodate two to six players at a time. We visited with seven friends and had a wonderful evening, but larger parties will need to divide into smaller teams for the rooms. I think a group of four to six would be ideal.
  • Make an evening of it. Between the games, dinner and cocktails, this is an experience worth setting aside time to enjoy.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Some challenges are surprisingly physical, so this isn’t the evening for uncomfortable footwear.
  • Take advantage of the dining break. You can pause your gameplay for up to 30 minutes, making it easy to enjoy food and drinks without rushing.
  • Book ahead. Tickets are available in timed play sessions, and purchasing in advance is the best way to secure your preferred time.

Would I Recommend Level99?

Absolutely!

I think Level99 fills a wonderful niche at Disney Springs. Walt Disney World has no shortage of entertainment for younger children, but finding something that feels equally fun for adults and teenagers can sometimes take a little more creativity.

Level99 delivers exactly that.

We had an amazing evening with our friends, and I would happily go back. Whether you’re planning a couples’ getaway, traveling with teens or meeting up with friends at Walt Disney World, this is an experience I’d love to work into your itinerary.
