Animal Kingdom + Harambe Market

October 14, 2015August 7, 2017

Wrapping up our park visits, we spent just one day in Animal Kingdom. It’s Tough to be a Bug was back on!  We were excited to see this again because it was closed on our last couple of visits. I love to soak up the sights and scenes around this park. Our first ride was… Read More

Disney Princess Weekend: Day 1

February 22, 2015August 3, 2015

Disney Princess Race Weekend kicked off bright and early in Animal Kingdom. It was gloriously sunny yet cool and windy.  Walking in I *almost* thought it was a bad choice, but I sure am glad I pressed forward! I headed over to my favorite little stand in Africa for a breakfast of cheese, fruit and… Read More

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

September 24, 2014August 11, 2015

After an “easy” day at Blizzard Beach, we were up and at ‘em for extra magic hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!! Based on our FastPass+ selection times, we hit Dinoland first. Mickey and Minnie in safari garb were set to come out right at 9AM for regular park hours. We got in line right before… Read More

Disney Day 2: Animal Kingdom + T-Rex Cafe

December 9, 2012August 3, 2015

Like last year, just as soon as we hit the grounds at Animal Kingdom, we headed straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari where we piled in Jeeps and headed out into the wild.  Once again, I was in awe at the great creatures and how well the exhibit is done.  It was the highlight of our… Read More

Disney Day 1: Animal Kingdom

September 28, 2011August 3, 2015

We arrived at Animal Kingdom bright and early and bee-lined straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari, where we saw loads of amazing African creatures.  I was just in utter disbelief that the things weren’t caged in. They appeared to be roaming totally free.  How amazing!! We were lucky enough to see the four month old baby… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
