Turkey Talk + A Winner

It’s the time of the year again when I dish on our one Thanksgiving tradition – Turkey Talk! Each year we pass around a bowl of questions throughout the meal. When the bowl comes to you, you pick your question, read it aloud and answer it.

The premise behind the “game” is that sometimes the people you are closest to are the people you know the least about. Each year we learn something new about each person at the table… and these are the people that we are closest to in the whole world!

You can find my initial list here.  And I now have even more questions in the card format as an instant download for $2.50 in my etsy shop HERE!  In addition to using Turkey Talk for your Thanksgiving dinner, it would be great at family suppers all month long and would make a lovely hostess or teacher gift!!

I also want to say that this year, like every year before, all of your comments, outpouring of love and YOUR own stories of love and loss have so deeply touched me.  Many of you thank ME for sharing, but truly, I thank YOU for sharing your stories as well.  We rarely ever know the battles that others are fighting.  Love and hugs to all of you, especially those that have lost a child or miscarried a child and to all that have recently lost a loved one and will be facing the holidays with a hole in their heart.

It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is just days away.  I am so thankful for YOU!

xoxo

  1. What a fun and great tradition! Ours involves writing what we’re most thankful for for the year in small pieces of paper, and putting them all in a clear glass ornament and then I finish it off with writing the year outside of the ornament with glitter glue!

    1. Great idea to do this as part of Thanksgiving! I did it with the littles last year for the first time during Christmas break. They were sweet to pull out this year.
