My favorite nephew Bird celebrated his third birthday with a monster-train bash like none other. Sister and her Mister and Mother pulled out all the stops to celebrate the momentous occasion in style. Sit back, relax and prepare to be wowed by the thought, care and brilliance that went into the fete…
The invitations had my littles at hello…
…and from the moment we arrived at Bird’s house and laid eye on the balloons and burlap monsters, we knew we were in for a real treat! Sister’s house is stunningly gorgeous and a post worthy of a whole other day.
The back drive was chocked full of things to capture the littles’ attention! A pin the eye on the monster station, monster toss corn hole, a wagon filled with sand and toys and a coloring table easily busied thirty littles.
But the crowning glory of the entire soiree was without a doubt the treat table. Donuts and cupcakes and lollipops and kettle corn abounded!
And her lovely courtyard (where we held our ten year anniversary photo shoot) housed a scrumptious lemonade stand and more treats!
The little monsters had a rollicking good time with all the courtyard games…
…we paused for a few minutes to sing Happy Birthday and blow out candles…
…and then we boarded a TRAIN to head off for more fun at the playground!!! The littles were absolutely enthralled with this adventure, waving to all the cars and folks we passed along the way!
When we arrived at the playground, the littles picked snack bags and favor bags (hand sewn ugly doll monsters made by none other than Mother) from a red wagon.
And, as if that wasn’t just outstanding enough, Sister had hired an ice cream truck to arrive at the playground for a little frozen refreshment for the train ride home!
It was a magical celebration honoring one very special little boy. He might have been born too early and a little too small but his personality and love of life is bigger than any child I’ve ever known!
Happy Birthday, Bird! You are one crazy loved, ridiculously lucky little guy!!!!
And, hats off to Sister and Mother for hand crafting every.single.solitary.element you see in these pictures!!!
xoxo
