Shopping Savannah

We drove down South Friday afternoon and were so excited to wake up in Savannah yesterday with Paris Tea and Blue Christmas.  Mother and Daddy-O have the house dripping in Christmas decorations and I’m hoping we can pick our stuff up for a bit so that I can grab some pictures!!   photo 1 (9) After fueling up on Starbucks, Mother, the baby and I did bunches of last minute shopping at some of our favorite haunts.  photo 2 (10) Byrd’s Cookie Shop photo 3 (10) Clutter photo 4 (9)  photo 1 (10) photo 2 (11)   Dessert before lunch at Maison de Macarons – you must taste the Tybee Turtle and Salted Caramel photo 5 (10) Sammies at Great Harvest photo 5 (9) Sweet Tea in Sandfly photo 3 (11) photo 4 (10)  And after sloppy joe’s for din din, Honey and I headed out for a few appetizers and cocktails and one of our very favorite rooftop lounges – Perch at Local 11 Ten.  photo 1 (11) photo 3 (12) On the way back home we couldn’t help but take a drive by the place where it all began – The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.  Honey proposed here in 2001 and we were married here just over a year later in 2002.   photo 5 (11) Merry, merry!! xoxo

  1. Sweet Tea and Byrds are two of my favs too!! Will have to check out Clutter and the Macaroon store. We spent so many Christmases in Savannah and we miss being there at Christmas now that Papa and Grandma are in heaven. Have a Merry Christmas Amanda!!

  2. That is so beautiful that the hubby proposed at the church! What a wonderful way to begin your life together. I am a sucker for a romantic proposal and in college I probably wouldn't have appreciated the beauty of such a gesture but as a Christian wife and mother way past college age I teared up at the idea! …Tina

  3. I wanted to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas! You bless your readers so very much and I pray that your family has a joy filled and Happy New Year!!!
