Good Clean Fun

I can’t think of a better way to spend a sunny Southern day than berry pickin’, animal lovin’, picnicin’ and ice cream eatin’ down at the farm.  So we hit the road bright and early last Tuesday to while away the day doing just that at Southern Belle Farm, just about an hour South of Atlanta.

We started out by picking two gallons of the sweetest, juiciest, most luscious strawberries that have ever crossed these lips.  Mind you, quite a few crossed the lips before ever making it to our pails.  But that’s half the fun of it!

Next we gave the farm animals some love, oohs, ahhs, snacks and maybe a tug of the tail here or there.  Cookie must have inherited his friend of all animals mantra from his Auntie, and John wasn’t about to be shown up by little brother so he put on quite an animal loving act himself.  The littles adored feeding the goats, John was just totally in awe of the egg we saw in the hen house and they were both completely rapt in the honey bee demonstration.

And after a picnic lunch, the much anticipated climax of the day was gobbling up the homemade farm fresh strawberry ice cream.

Now, that’s good, clean (and yummy) fun!
xoxo
