One thing I adore about Atlanta is the great variety of things to do, see and eat in the city!
Later in the afternoon, we met Honey in town for a delightfully delish supper at Park Tavern overlooking Piedmont Park.
Following supper, we were absolutely thrilled to hop on a horse drawn carriage ride through the park, enjoying (a few) gorgeous holiday lights under the South’s most spectacular skyline, before wrapping up our evening with s’mores around a Park Tavern fire pit.
And since Honey had to hustle to a company holiday party, I quickly tucked the littles in bed and snuggled up on the sofa to watch the New York City Ballet’s live performance of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, only to find that our local PBS affiliate didn’t pick up the series. Boo hoo hoo hoo. Once upon a time, I spent hours upon hours studying this, my very favorite interpretation, iconic and beloved ballet as I prepared for my own performance as Clara/Snow Queen/Dew Drop. One of my proudest achievements of all time :-) So, instead of ending my night watching this…
…I caught up on this.
Happy holidays y’all!
xoxo
PS. I’m guest posting at Darling Doodles today for the 12 Days of Gift-mas. Go visit!
Sounds like a great day! This post brought back memories for me. I used to work at the Piedmont Park Conservancy. Such a great place!
What a fun time! Puts me in the mood for a carriage ride!
Not to make you jealous – but we got the PBS coverage of the Nutcracker! Beautiful! Following a weekend of 4 Nutcracker shows with my girls performing. I think I am nutcrackered out for this season!

Sounds like y'all had a great day! I am jealous that it's warm enough to go to the zoo still! It was about 67 yesterday and about 35 today, so you just never know! I am obsessed with Vampire Diaries! They shoot it in atlanta don't they?
