All Dolled Up

Yesterday I dolled the baby up and carted him out for his three-and-a-half year formal portrait.  Since I had already cajoled him into the little button on, I snapped a few of my own in the back yard in his “new” antique chair.  It was nothing short of a miracle that he didn’t get a drop of his chocolate milkshake on him in the car on the way home!

I have been patiently awaiting this day for three years and cannot wait to fill up the baby’s frame in the dining room next to big brother. What’s there now has been a place holder all this time. Mike Riggs, proprietor of Elliott’s Studios, not only has the most charming and engaging manner with little ones, but he’s a Tech alum to boot! The baby was a just a dream during his session and I’m afraid it’s going to be hard to choose just one to enlarge!!

  1. Precious Boy…..God's gifts are so wonderful! Love Dixie Delights, thanks for sharing your life….Marti

  2. He is such a darling! I have to say, whenever I read your blog, it's makes me want to have two boys. I have my Edward right now and hopefully we'll be blessed with another one sometime soon, but just when I think I have to have a girl, I come over here and see your adorable boys!! Love his outfit! (You have to play dress up with them while you can!)

  3. Your boys are adorable. They should be models!
Also, I love your remodeling job in the basement! It is so funny to see all the GT decorations- my husband and I are UGA grads and we have a 20 yr old daughter at UGA who dates a GT guy. They have talked about marrying in the distant future and I can only imagine how they would combine/decorate with a UGA and GT theme!!!!! I live in Alpharetta and enjoy reading your blog everyday .

  6. what a precious boy…it's always so hard to choose one special photo that will last a lifetime…imagine what it was like when i had to pick out my daughter's wedding portrait!

  7. He is so cute! I'm sure it will be hard to decide! I am so behind on ordering photos for that very reason!

    What size are the photos?

I know you have some portraits on your stairs – are they from the same age. What size did you put there?

    Thanks for sharing!

    Betsy

  8. The dining room portraits are 20×24 and will be when each one was 3 1/2 years. The canvases going up the stair way are 18×24. They are more mixed ages. I think I have Whit at 6 mos and 18 mos and John at 3 1/2 and 4 1/2. Hope that helps!!
