Attention to Detail

The PCP carried home the cleverest little art project earlier this week – a large piece of construction paper folded into a house.

And this is where he knocked my socks off.  A peek inside shows his bedroom, illustrated with an immaculate attention to detail.  Twin beds with quilts and folded monogrammed duvets (monogrammed duvets, y’all!!!) at the foot.  Check.  Multiple pillows on each bed and dresser between.  Check and check.  Table with book bin, large reading chair and all closets and doors accounted for.  Check, check and check.

He made his momma proud with this one.  Funny how some of the things he brings home, well, I wonder why they were ever sent home :-) But then every once in a while there’s one I know I’ll have till forever.

And while we’re on the topic of art, I found the baby’s latest project to be interesting.  *for lack of a better word*

Who are those three smiling creatures in the lovely glittered frame?  Why, that would be “brober, Whitfield (he’s into the whole full name thing) and Daddy.”  And now I know where I stand with the baby.  I don’t.

Oooookay then.  The little nut is howling for his breakfast.  Perhaps I should wake up his favorite parent and let him tend to it…  :-)

  1. I am totally cracking up! They are SO cute! My 1st grader just did a similar drawing of his room for school…must be some new addition to curriculums! Anyway, he drew all these colorful things on top of his dresser. Apparently they were the folded clothes that needed to be put away! Thanks kid – just make me look like I don't keep your room in order! The baby's drawing brought back memories of when my son used to draw the legs coming out of the heads too.
    So sweet. Enjoy your weekend!

  2. That is so sweet. It's amazing what they notice when you don't think they are paying attention.

What I got a kick out of is that on the front of the house he even drew the dogs with the bows around their necks!
