Guess where we’re headed?!?!?! On the Disney Dream Cruise by way of the Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!!!! If you’ve spent any time around this little blog at all, then it will come as no surprise that we a) kept it a surprise for the littles until a few days before and b) made the big announcement over a meal!
I printed our ports of call off of the Disney Cruise website and taped it to our chalkboard to count down the days!
I already had everything to set the table, but spent a little time making a few new patriotic flags and and cupcake toppers for the affair.
I picked the cupcakes up at Publix and dressed them to look like boats.
The Mickey plates are from a store in Downtown Disney and were one of my best purchases ever :-) The napkins are dishtowels from Ikea.
We dined on one of the boys’ all time favorite meals – meatloaf, potatoes and broccoli – all done up mouse-style!
I used my regular meatloaf recipe (Southern Living All American Meatloaf) and Honey formed it with the help of my large Mickey cookie cutter. I did cut the cooking time down by about 10 minutes overall.
The littles were beyond excited to make their way to the porch for the very special supper I promised earlier in the day!!!
And after supper, they couldn’t wait to tear into their treat buckets!!!
I’ve been using these buckets for almost three years now. Mother made the towels and I ordered the swim suits eons ago from a seller on ebay. The luggage tag and signature/photo book are from my etsy store.
My whole family is in on the adventure and we’re all giddy with excitement. Everything around here is going to be DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY for the next week or so while we count down to the trip and the recap the events!!
xoxo

You'll have a blast on the DREAM! Disney service at it's best! Look forward to hearing all about your trip when you come back.
How exciting! We've been toying with the idea of a Disney cruise but I've never done one and the babies (3.5 and 1.5) sure haven't so I'm concerned seven days would be a lonnnnng trip. I can't wait to hear all about your trip!
If no one has told you lately, you are just the best mom ever. I love to visit and see what's special on the menu for lunch or dinner, even breakfast sometimes. Have a wonderful time. Alaina
I just got back from the Disney Dream and it was magical. Actually went without the kids this time. Castaway Cay is paradise and you really should try Palo or Remy. So excited for your family.

out of curiosity, are you members of the disney vacation club? we are and it seems since you go to disney often that you could benefit from it. we just got back from the disney hilton head resort yesterday. it was amazing!
This is just waaaay beyond cuuute!! From the mom of 2 Disney addicts, I just loved it all!! Your family will of course have a magical time. My daughter needs those plates at college. She would love them!
So adorable! What a fun way to surprise them with the trip. You have outdone yourself my dear.
You will have a wonderful trip no doubt. Can't wait to see all the fun!!
Oh what a fun trip it will be! Disney just started sailing here out of Galveston and my boys keep asking to go.
I can only imagine how excited your family can be. We had our grandson on his first cruise when he was 6 months old and a day….he had to be at least 6 months to go on the Carnival Cruise line, best part he was full price, What kind of sewing machine does your Mom use to do her appliques? I look at her work and am truly impressed.
Have a great time.
Jeanne
