With most all of the festivities in our area either cancelled or postponed due to the weather, we spent the day lounging on the sofa and the evening with neighbors. The grown ups sipped on mojitos and noshed on steak, salmon and shrimp, while the littles dined on hot dogs, waffle fries and root beer floats (what could be more American?).
Here’s to hoping the sun will make an appearance tomorrow. Happy birthday America, and thank you to the brave men and women that keep this the land of the free!

Oh yes, this rain has been such a stick in the mud. (literally) BUT your meal sounds delicious! And all the red, white, and blue was very cute. Here's hoping for a sunny day today.
Glad you enjoyed the evening despite this lovely weather we are having. Crazy. Here's hoping it lets up soon.
It looks like you had a great celebration despite the rain. Please share your Mojitos recipe…..we were recently in Savannah/Tybee and I had the BEST Mojitos at Uncle Bubba's …..I have been wanting a good Mojitos since. thank you so much for all of your Savannah/Tybee tips before our trip. We had the BEST time and would love to go back again.
